How it works
coins = (investment × (1 − entry fee)) ÷ buy price
net exit = coins × sell price × (1 − exit fee)
profit = net exit − investment
Worked example
Put $1,000 into BTC at $50,000 with 0.1% fees each side, sell at $65,000: you get 0.01998 BTC, exit with $1,298.44, and net $298.44 (29.8%). The fees quietly took $2.30.
FAQ
Why is my exchange showing a bigger profit than this?
Most position screens show gross P&L before exit fees and sometimes before entry fees. This calculator nets out both, which is the number that actually hits your balance.
Does this work for any coin?
