How it works
worst price = quote × (1 + tolerance)
max cost = size × tolerance
Worked example
A $2,000 buy with 1% tolerance authorizes fills up to $1.01 and up to $20 of slippage. Meme-coin launches asking for 10%+ are asking for $200 on the same trade.
FAQ
What slippage setting should I use?
0.1-0.5% for deep pairs, 1% for mid-caps. If a trade needs more to execute, the pool is telling you your size is too big for it.
Is slippage the same as price impact?
Related but distinct: impact is what your own order does to the pool price; slippage tolerance also covers other trades landing before yours.
