Grid bots sell chop back and forth. Spacing minus double fees is the real per-grid margin, and it decides whether the bot farms the range or the fees farm the bot.

How it works
spacing = (high − low) ÷ grids
per-grid profit = spacing % − 2 × fee
Worked example
A $55k-$75k range with 20 grids spaces $1,000 (1.82%). At 0.1% fees each fill, a round trip keeps 1.62%: $8.10 per $500 grid slice. Forty grids would shrink margin toward the fee floor.
FAQ
More grids or fewer?
More grids fill oftener with thinner margins; beyond the point where spacing approaches 2× fees you are working for the exchange.
What kills grid bots?
Trends. Price leaving the range leaves you holding the wrong side of every grid; the strategy is a short-volatility bet dressed as automation.
