How it works
coins = crypto portion ÷ payday price
value now = coins × current price
Worked example
Half of a $4,000 salary paid in BTC at $60,000 is 0.0333 BTC. If BTC sits at $65,000 today, that slice is worth $2,167, up $167 on payday.
FAQ
Is crypto salary taxed differently?
Usually it is taxed as ordinary income at the value on the day you receive it, same as cash, with capital gains on any change afterward.
Should I take salary in crypto?
Only the portion you would have bought anyway. Rent is priced in fiat; volatility on money you need monthly is stress, not strategy.
